Who Spoke to Job, God the Father or the Son?

Was it God the Father or the Son who spoke to Job out of the whirlwind?

Let’s take a look at this subject, ‘line upon line’ and ‘precept upon precept’ —

The Bible says, “And the Lord spake unto Moses FACE TO FACE, as a man speaketh unto his friend.” (Exodus 33:11)

“Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: AND THEY SAW THE GOD OF ISRAEL: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.” (Exodus 24:9-10)

NO MAN HATH SEEN GOD AT ANY TIME, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.” (John 1:18)

Contradiction? No, not if you know who was on Mount Sinai giving the Ten Commandments.

It is true that no man has seen God (the Father) at any time. It was always God the Son (preincarnate Christ) who appeared or communicated with men. The word that is used is ‘Christophany’ (a physical appearance or non-physical manifestation of Christ).

Sometimes in the Old Testament Christ appears as the Angel of the Lord, such as one of the 3 men that appeared to Abraham in Genesis 18.

It was Christ on Mount Sinai giving the Ten Commandments to Moses. People have a problem believing that the Ten Commandments are the laws of Christ after all.

Speaking of Christ the Bible says, “ALL THINGS were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:3

Speaking of Christ the Bible says, “For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” Colossians 1:16

The Bible says, “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:1, 2

God communicating with Job said, “Where wast thou when I LAID THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE EARTH? declare, if thou hast understanding.” Job 38:4

The Bible states, “Of old hast thou LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.” Psalm 102:25

Speaking through Isaiah God says, “Mine hand also hath LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, and my right hand hath spanned the heavens: when I call unto them, they stand up together.” Isaiah 48:13

The Father speaking to the Son uses the exact same phrase when God spoke to Job: “And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH; and the heavens are the works of thine hands” Hebrews 1:10

So remember…

Jesus is the creator of all things. (John 1)
Jesus is the One who rested the Sabbath in creation. (Genesis 2)
Jesus is the One who commanded the Sabbath from Sinai. (Exodus 20)
Jesus said He is Lord of the Sabbath. (Mark 2)
Jesus said “love” was the foundation of all the commandments. (Matthew 22)
Jesus is the One who said if we love Him we keep His commandments. (John 14)
Jesus is the One who forgives us when we repent. (Acts 5)
Jesus is the Judge regarding our repentance and following works. (2 Corinthians 5)
Jesus judges us by His commandments. (James 2)
Jesus is the One who allows us into the gates of His city. (Revelation 22)
Jesus is the One who says we enter His city only if we keep His commandments. (Revelation 22:14)

The Eternity of Christ.–If Christ made all things, He existed before all things. The words spoken in regard to this are so decisive that no one need be left in doubt. Christ was God essentially, and in the highest sense. He was with God from all eternity. God over all, blessed forevermore. {5BC 1126.4}

Very deep but the carnal mind can’t comprehend these great spiritual things

@Fimon, people have freedom of choice. Everyone has a choice to learn truth or not. God, speaking through His prophet said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
