Do Not Miss the Boat

But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.  For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe  entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Matthew 24:37-39

What did the early Bible commentators understand that today’s Preachers and Evangelists miss?

Matthew Henry wrote this between 1708 and 1710 Click Here»

Deuteronomy 31:24-26 …’ And it came to pass, when Moses had made an end of writing the words of this law in a book, until they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, saying, take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee.’

Exodus 40:20 …’ And he took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the staves on the ark, and put the mercy seat above upon the ark:’……Note from these two verses above, that the stone tablets (The Testimony) on which were written the Ten Commandments were placed INSIDE the ark, yet the book of the law by Moses, was placed in a pocked BESIDE the ark. This also shows a distinct separation between the two laws.

2 Chronicles 33:8 ….’ Neither will I any more remove the foot of Israel from out of the land which I have appointed for your fathers; so that they will take heed to do all that I have commanded them, according to the whole law and the statutes and the ordinances by the hand of Moses.’ ….That word ‘and’ separates the two laws…. The Ten Commandments and the Laws of Moses.

Take a look at the above verse from Deuteronomy 31, where it says ..’that it may be there for a witness against thee.’ This is talking about the ‘book’ of the law, not the Ten Commandments. Now take a look at the following verse from the New Testament:

Colossians 2:14 …' Blotting out the handwriting of
ordinances that was against us, which was contrary
to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to
his cross;'
..Notice a couple of things from this verse. The Handwriting of
ordinances were the laws of Moses, which contained the ceremonial
laws and it was these laws that were against us,
NOT the Ten Commandments. It was the laws of Moses that were taken
out of the way by Jesus Christ, being nailed to the Cross.

John Wesley knew the truth about the above verse (1825)

Read your Bibles. Love one another — even those who persecute you. Learn how to serve others, and to give — even when it’s hard.

Three last points from the last book in the Bible are:

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Revelation 12:17

“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” Revelation 14:12

And from the very last page of the very last book :

Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.” Revelation 22:14

Why do Christians forget the one command that God specifically said to remember?

About Me

What Does the Bible Say?

When the Lamb opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” I looked, and there before me was a pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given power over a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth. Revelation 6:7-8

As we’re told in the passage above, one fourth of the world’s population will die during this time period, because of war, famine, plague, and wild beasts… all unleashed on the world as the first of many judgments from God.

Considering that this is the first massive loss of life in the end times, the opening of the Fourth Seal appears to be when the “Time of Wrath” — as prophecied in the Book of Daniel — begins. Daniel states, the Time of Wrath is when the Antichrist comes to power.

The Bible tells us, in Isaiah:

Isaiah 26:9 – …When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

Jesus Christ – the King of Kings

The Time of Wrath is coming onto the world to essentially serve 2 purposes. The first is to eventually destroy all evil and all unbelievers and to put the nations of the world under the feet of Christ, who will take control of the world with his armies as the “King of Kings and Lord of Lords”.

The second purpose of the Time of Wrath, just as the passage above in Isaiah reads, is to teach the people to fear the Lord and learn righteousness.

There are many people in Christianity today who are not walking in true faith. These are Christians who Jesus warns multiples times in chapters 2 and 3 of Revelation to repent. Jesus even says, “Because you are lukewarm — neither hot nor cold — I am going to spit you out of my mouth.”

God will Judge

As revealed in Hebrews 10:26-31, it is a terrible thing to proclaim Christ in your life, and then to fall away back into the sinful ways of man. God promises to bring wrath. Hebrews 10:26-31 states that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God, and that God will judge his people.

stop_sign2

Many Christians today are walking on a false sense of security and their entire world is going to come crashing away under their feet when the Time of Wrath begins and they realize that all the warnings in the Bible to turn from their sin are absolutely true. God hates sin. But God forgives our sin when we believe in Jesus Christ, and follow the commands of God. Ask for the Holy Spirit. God is faithful to give his spirit to all who turn to him in repentance.

Repentance

It’s not hard to stay in repentance, if you let the Holy Spirit take complete control of every area of your life, and you make the decision to live by the Word of God (the teachings of the Holy Bible all Christians are commanded to follow.)

Following Jesus is not an option. It is a command.

I don’t know if you have ever walked as a true Christian in the past… If you have, look at your life for a moment… Have there been any hard times in your life since that day you first started praying to God, and maybe you thought you had a relationship with Jesus Christ?… Pay attention to the hard times that have happened in your life. This could be God trying to wake you up and tell you that you are not walking the walk, or walking in the faith.

In Revelation 3:19, Jesus says, “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent.”

Again I say… look at the things happening in your life…

Is God trying to wake you up?

—-

1 John 1:5 reads:

“This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.”

—–

1 John 2:3 reads:

surprise

“We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. The man who says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But if anyone obeys his word, God’s love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did.”

—–

And finally, 1 John 2:9, reads:

“Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded him.”

—–

If you’re not sure if you’re walking in true faith, and if you’re tired of having darkness control any areas of your life, please pick up the Bible and read in the Word of God how you can be saved, and how you can let the Holy Spirit take complete control of your life, so that you’re trained in the ways of God and not in the traditions of men.

Jesus will bring you through the wrath that will come over the world.

When the Fourth Seal of Revelation 6 is opened, it is going to take most of the world by surprise. Everything we know is going to change in many unexpected, destructive, and terrifying ways.

AbusingGrace

Of course, those walking in true faith and holding firmly to the commands of God have nothing to fear. How many commands? Christians want to fight to keep God’s Commandments public view, but they can’t seem to remember them!

They lift up the Commandments without any intention of honoring them completely—the very definition of a form of godliness without power.

Shouldn’t Christians be more concerned about obeying those Commandments than making them a historical display on the walls in our halls of justice? Shouldn’t we stop treating God’s law as an idol of government, but instead as the living, fulfilled testimony of Jesus Christ?

God’s commandments need not be followed for our salvation. Because of Jesus and what He did for us at the cross, it’s an automatic process of a true Christian to obey His commandments.

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

Revelation 11:14-19 Before the sounding of the seventh and last trumpet, there is the usual demand of attention. The saints and angels in heaven know the right of our God and Savior to rule over all the world. But the nations met God’s wrath with their own anger. It was a time in which he was beginning to reward his people’s faithful services, and sufferings; and their enemies fretted against God, and so increased their guilt, and hastened their destruction. By the opening the temple of God in heaven, may be meant, that there was a more free communication between heaven and earth; prayer and praises more freely and frequently going up, graces and blessings plentifully coming down. But it rather seems to refer to the church of God on earth. In the reign of antichrist, God’s law was laid aside, and made void by traditions and decrees; the Scriptures were locked up from the people, but now they are brought to the view of all. This, like the ark, is a token of the presence of God returned to his people, and his favour toward them in Jesus Christ, as the Propitiation for their sins. The great blessing of the Reformation was attended with very awful providences; as by terrible things in righteousness God answered the prayers presented in his holy temple now opened.

“This ‘handwriting of ordinances’ our Lord did blot out, take away, and nail to His cross (Colossians 2:14). But the moral law contained in the Ten Commandments, and enforced by the prophets, He did not take away… The moral law stands on an entirely different foundation from the ceremonial or ritual law… Every part of this law must remain in force upon all mankind and in all ages.” John Wesley, Sermons on Several Occasions, 2-Vol. Edition, Vol. I, pages 221-222. Support Your Pastor

False Teachers

A Christian should support their Pastor. Take a look at 1 Thessalonians 5:12. Dear brothers and sisters, honor those who are your leaders in the Lord’s work. They work hard among you and give you spiritual guidance. Show them respect and love because of their work. And live peacefully with each other.

The bible makes it clear that God establishes leaders in the Christian community.

Their role is vital to the mission and ministry of the local church.  Take a look at Hebrews 13:17

Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say unless it contradicts the Bible. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.

Pray for your Pastor (Priest, Minister, Presbyter or whatever you call them!)

Use your gifts in the Christian community. Your pastor doesn’t have all the gifts of the Spirit.

Make your own relationship with God a priority. If you are growing in the Lord you will be an encouragement to your pastor and your church family.

Don’t criticize your pastor. If you have a concern contact them personally. Matthew 18:15, 1 Timothy 5:19, Matthew 5:23-24

Be forgiving to your Pastor. They are human.

If you have genuine concerns then you MUST confront the pastor to try to reach some sort of understanding. But, do so in agreement with what the Bible teaches.

Got Milk

Bring the matter to him one-on-one and if it is not resolved see if you can find some other witnesses to go with you. If that does not work then you’ll need to go higher with it and then finally, make an announcement in the hearing of the whole congregation.  Only after all avenues of reconciliation are exhausted should you move on. Sometimes after prayerful consideration you may have to make a change. They may be feeding you

Meat

I like steak

milk, and you may be ready for steak!

2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, handling accurately the word of truth. 3:16 All Scripture is inspired of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness. Remember, if you’re struggling with a gray area on a certain subject in the Bible you can always we can always ask God. Also, gather all verses pertaining to that subject. List the clear verses and the obscure verses and study them. The Bible does not contradict itself as some might say. It’s only our understanding that is vague.

If a Church is teaching anything contrary to the Word of God, you have the right to correct them, although they may not believe you. The sin of pride is an incredible obstruction in receiving spiritual wisdom from the Holy Spirit. True wisdom from God comes easily when we allow God to lead us and we become child-like and willing to hear. God may have revealed or opened up a portion of scripture to you and not someone else. That’s how we grow and mature in the knowledge of God’s Word.

Our views can start to change and other people may not be ready for that advancement. An individual can actually block the Holy Spirit’s instruction. God will never force a person to learn, or go against their own will. He will give you thoughts about a certain subject through inaudible whispers.  He may communicate  through a friend or  stranger by divine appointment.

Have you ever noticed that sometimes a verse or verses seem to leap off the page, and you can hardly wait to tell everyone around what God showed to you and what you’ve learned. Then to your surprise, they disagree with you.

We have our own responsibility for knowing what the Bible says, and shouldn’t just rely on someone else for understanding. God gives understanding to each person as He sees appropriate.  One other thing to keep in mind is that the most confusing place to find information is the Christian book store. You may find 100 books on the same subject and all may be in opposition of each other. Test every discovery or revelation against scripture, because the Holy Bible is the only truth to be found.

In Christ (not in Crises),

What Will the Wise Understand?

Enlightened

In Daniel 12:9, 10 the Bible predicts that in “the time of the end” God will purify His people, and that “the wise shall understand.” What will they understand?

In the ancient Near East the custom was to “seal” an important document by impressing upon it the identifying marks of the parties involved and the recording scribe. A sealed text was not to be tampered with or changed. Then the original document was duplicated and placed (“closed up”) in a safe place where it could be preserved. An excellent illustration of this process is recorded in the Book of Jeremiah: “So I [Jeremiah] bought the field at Anathoth from my cousin Hanamel and weighed out for him seventeen shekels of silver. I signed and sealed the deed, had it witnessed, and weighed out the silver on the scales. I took the deed of purchase – the sealed copy containing the terms and conditions, as well as the unsealed copy – and I gave this deed to Baruch son of Neriah [the scribe]” (Jer 32:9-12). The sealing of Jeremiah’s property deed was not done to “hide” the contents or to keep them “secret” but to preserve the document. As a matter of fact, Jeremiah performed this transaction in the presence of his cousin “and of the witnesses who had signed the deed and of all the Jews sitting in the courtyard of the guard” (Jer 32:12). There also was an “unsealed copy” of the deed that presumably was open for inspection.

Gabriel therefore was instructing Daniel to preserve “the words of the scroll,” not merely this final vision but the whole book for those who will live at “the time of the end” when the message will be needed. This future generation will undergo the horrors of the tribulation (“time of distress”) and will need the promises in the Book of Daniel – that God will be victorious over the kingdoms of the world and that the suffering will last only for a brief time – to sustain them.

An increase in travel toward the end of the age is not the idea of the phrase “will go here and there.” In a number of Old Testament passages (e.g., 2 Chronicles 16:9 Jer 5:1 Amos 8:12 Zech 4:10). Hebrew yesotetu denotes “to go here and there” in search of a person or thing, and that is the meaning here. An “intense” searching seems indicated by the verb form. The purpose of this search will be to “increase knowledge.”

Yet Gabriel was not predicting a mere surge in scientific “knowledge,” and so forth, in the last days. The article

The-Way-The-Truth-The-Life

Do you know Jesus?

appears with “knowledge” (lit., “the knowledge”), showing that a particular kind of “knowledge” was intended, that is, when and how Daniel’s message is to be fulfilled. As the time of the fulfillment draws nearer, the “wise” will seek to comprehend these prophecies more precisely, and God will grant understanding (“knowledge”) to them.

Paul the apostle said, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17. The Bible promises to unlock itself, giving wisdom of God’s Word in its verses that explain the hidden messages in other passages. By comparing the different texts on the same subjects, viewing their demeanor from every side, the Scriptures become clear. In this way, light is shed upon the hidden meaning of the Word.  Spend time in God’s Word daily, and don’t allow anything to keep you from it, for  there you find life.

The Bible says, “Love Me and keep My commandments.” You can’t obey Jesus if you don’t love Him. You can’t love Him if you don’t know Him. And you will never know Him unless you take time to know Him through His Word. The Bible is the main way God uses to reveal Himself to sinful man.

When people read God’s Word with their hearts open to hear what the Holy Spirit is saying, it becomes a living testament to Jesus Christ. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life”  John 6:63. Sin entered into the world because man doubted God’s words;  don’t make the same mistake today by doubting the Bible’s accuracy. Don’t put off studying His Word.  It may seem like it now, but nothing in this world is more important. At any given moment, time will run out for each of us.

Mark of the Beast Truth

God is Holy and hates sin
Truth about 666

Since God is righteous and fair, eternal punishment for sinners and non-believers must be fair and just as well. People who won’t receive salvation through Jesus Christ is not by God’s fault, but by their own free will.

Will it be important in these coming days to know just exactly what the mark of the beast is?

Find out the truth about what the Bible really says.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

Will it be a:

  • Government identification number?
  • Bar code?
  • National Health and ID card?
  • Microchip injected into the hand or forehead?

If you believe any one of these ideas get ready to be stunned. It may even rock your core beliefs. Would you really and truly want to know the truth? Would it be possible after all of your Bible study and years of learning the Word of God to be wrong and even be deceived in the last days as to the truth about the mark of the beast?

In the last days, we will have to know the Bible well enough to know when a pastor misquotes it! True Christians will need to be rooted and grounded in God’s Word. In the last days, the question won’t be, “Do you believe in God?“, It will be, “Do you believe God?” We will have to walk by faith and not by sight.

There will be so many miraculous signs and wonders that even staunch atheist will believe in some source of supernatural power! This may be the most important post you ever read, and the most important message you ever hear!

For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

First, please pray that God would open the truth of His Word to you.

I suggest that you get yourself a hot cup of coffee, sit down and get comfortable. These messages cuts to the very core about the Mark of the Beast issue.

Question: Will it be important to know what the mark of the beast is?

Answer: Knowing exactly what the mark of the beast is won’t matter at all, if we know what the Seal of God is!

Rev 7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the Seal of the Living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
Rev 7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.

Rev 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

All truth passes through three stages.

  1. It is ridiculed
  2. It is violently opposed
  3. It is accepted as being self-evident

Priorities

PRIORITIES
By Duane Huffstutler

PRIORITIES

prioritiesEvery once in a while something will be said that we don’t quite agree with or something will be done that we don’t think should be done at the time and it may get under our skin. It comes down to how the person sets his priorities. Everyday we set priorities on everything we do. Whether it is reading our Bible or praying. If we get woke up before it is time to get up and there is something important to do; do we stop and take time with God first or do we just go ahead and do what we must do first? Which has priority?

The definition of Priority is something given meriting attention before completing alternatives. Everyone has their own opinion as to where to set the priority and it is based on what they have been taught. Who is right? Everyone will answer to God as to how he set his priorities, right or wrong.

Let’s look at how some people set their priorities. Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 but seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things will be added unto you. If you set your priorities with God being first he will take care of everything else you need. Jesus set his priorities with the will of God being above all things. In Luke 2:49 Jesus was 12 years old and was not found in the caravan as they were going home. When Mary and Joseph found him they questioned him but he answered, how is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father’s business?

At 12 years old Jesus had already set his priorities to do the will of the Father. How did he know what he was supposed to do everyday? As you study the Gospels you find that Jesus withdrew himself and prayed. As you study deeper he would be alone each morning before daylight and talk with the Father. God would give him instructions and guide him by the Holy Spirit. Then there will be no question as to what the priorities are.

Let’s look at the person named the 2nd most in the Gospels, Peter. Some say he was always messing up and sticking his foot in his mouth. I disagree he wanted to know everything he could know about Jesus Christ the Messiah. He would ask questions when no one else would. He would do things that no one else would do because he wanted to know. He had set his priorities to know Christ and to become as close to him as he could. He didn’t care what it looked like.

What about Paul? He persecuted the Christians with zeal. When Christ got a hold of him on the road to Damascus, he changed his perspectives and his priorities and his priorities became to spread the word of God no matter what it cost him. He was beaten and stoned and shipwrecked but he kept his priorities with God first.

Where are your priorities? I don’t want your answer that is between you and God, who by the way already has the answer. So if you tell yourself anything less than the full truth you are only lying to yourself. Are we any better than Christ himself, who being filled with the Holy Ghost needed to talk to the Father? That we can go through the day, the week, the month or the year without talking with the Father. If you can I guess the information was planted inside of you when you were born so that you don’t need the Father to tell you where your priorities should be. The rest of us need that daily time with the Father.

Just think about itwhat has priority in your life?
