ThomasWe were attending Catholic Church on a pretty regular basis. One day we came across a TV special about the miracle of Garabandal and became interested in it. After praying and a little studying I found what the Bible had to say about Satan and his ability to transform himself into appearing as an angel of God!

I thought to myself, if the Bible which is God’s Word, says this, what else does it have in it that I don’t know about? We started searching for a Bible teaching Church. We already were watching a Christian TV station and heard sermons from Jesse Duplantis, Joyce Meyer, Creflow Dollar, etc. .

Jesse Duplantis was coming preach in a nearby city and we planned to attend this big event. After this, we were led to a nondenominational Church and attended for a while but felt uncomfortable and we just weren’t learning the Bible. We continued to pray and this time were led to a local denominational Church. We joined in a home Bible study and things finally started to become clearer. I also started following a Bible reading plan that took me through both the New Testament and Old Testament. I didn’t understand why the Bible’s teachings were so different and contradicted the Catholic teachings!

Was the Bible wrong or the Catholics teachings? I finally started to understand that the Catholic religion is following the “traditions of men” instead of God’s Word. When someone first mentioned this point to me I would get offensive, I thought I just couldn’t be wrong!

Besides weekly church services and regular group Bible studies I love to read the Bible. The more I read, the more I wanted to learn. The Holy Spirit began to show me things that conflicted with our Church’s beliefs. Church members along with the pastors wouldn’t even consider examining the denomination’s doctrine guidelines compared to the whole context on that subject in the Bible.

I just couldn’t believe that they couldn’t see what was spelled out so vividly in the Bible. I realized that, although I had grown in my walk with the Lord immensely, these ministers were (although unintentionally) mistakenly misleading the congregation in a few key areas of the Bible.

Pride that you know everything about the Bible will keep the Holy Spirit from operating.

It was almost as if I were back in the Catholic church. People just will not test the denomination’s doctrine by researching it in the Bible. The excuse is “some things are not meant to be understood until we get to heaven”.

Someone may not even realize that:

they were sent to you with a message from God»

Churches try to draw people by boasting of all the activities and ministries that are made available—ministries for the children, ministries for the young adults, and ministries for the married. There are activities going on all the time. We have made our ministries and our activities into little idols instead of relying on our Lord Jesus Christ, and what He did at the Cross.

One of the Things I noticed when I began searching the Scriptures, was this verse.

And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. - Matthew 23:9

So, what must one do to be saved? Repent and trust. Heb.6:1

The Bible makes it clear that all men must repent and place their trust in Jesus Christ.
If a person has a change of heart and turns to Jesus the last hour of their life, they’ll be saved. The problem is, that no one knows just when that last hour will come?

My Personal Thoughts»

Seeing is NOT believing

The devil can quote Scripture! This is a disturbing but important truth to know about our chief, spiritual adversary! To make matters even worse, false teachers can do the same! Therefore, we must make sure Scripture is not used out of context. To do this we must consider the verses before and after the verse in question. Also, when trying to arrive at the proper interpretation of Scripture, we must consider all verses on any given subject.

Satan can transform himself into looking like an angel from God:

And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. (2 Cor 11:14)

This shows that the devil can disguise his appearance to appear as an angel of God. This explains alleged visions in Mormonism, Catholicism and Seven-Day Adventism. The crux of the message found in these visions contradict the other visions found in these other groups! In other words, the visions in Mormonism contradict visions in Catholicism which also contradict the visions in Seven-Day Adventism. Since God does not change (Mal. 3:6; Jam. 1:17), it is impossible for the source of these visions to be God, especially since they have an unscriptural message!

If even an angel from heaven would declare a salvation message different from that found in Scripture, that angel is not only wrong but accursed for doing so:

But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! (Gal 1:8)

Dear reader, don’t believe any plan of salvation that varies from the message found in Scripture, even if an angel named Moroni allegedly came to a person named Joseph Smith, Jr. or a personage claiming to be Mary appeared and declares that she is “the way” to God, as occurred at Fatima, Portugal. Scripture clearly declares Jesus is the only way to the Father (John 14:6). Since Jesus is Mary can’t be.

Satan’s Final End Is Everlasting Torment:

And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever. (Rev 20:10)

Eternal fire beyond the grave was prepared for “the devil and his angels”:

Then he will say to those on his left, Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (Mat 25:41)

The same fire that will claim the devil and his angels will also torment people who die in a spiritually lost condition. Dear reader, do not be deceived: There is no reincarnation! The ultimate authority on all spiritual matters, Lord Jesus, taught a judgment and an afterlife in either the kingdom of heaven or eternal fire, but not reincarnation. Also, there is no Purgatory or annihilation of the wicked, according to Jesus. He taught there are only two roads, two gates, two destinies and two groups of people.

Because there are false teachers, deceitful spirits, visions and dreams from the devil, miracles performed by demons, etc. we are advised to do the following:

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. (1 John 4:1)

Test everything. Hold on to the good. (1 Th 5:21)

Our standard is the Word of God, which is used for testing all teachings (2 Tim. 3:16,17). It is in the Bible alone that we can be made “wise unto salvation through faith in Christ Jesus” (2 Tim. 3:15).

Read About Criticism

Open rebuke is better than secret love.

Have you ever read this verse in Proverbs and wondered what it means? It may seem odd at first. Open rebuke (or criticism) is better than secret love? Why would open rebuke be better than secret love? Think about it for a moment.

Do you have the answer yet? The answer lies in the adjectives “open” and “secret.” Now do you understand? Open rebuke is better than secret love because it reveals true emotions. It allows you to know where the other person’s heart is aligned. It reveals truth to us, although it may not be the truth we want or seek.

All of us want to be admired and complimented. It a normal part of our psyche. It comes from a need to be wanted and loved. We equate compliments with love, acceptance and security; likewise, we equate criticism with dislike, anger, disapproval, and rejection which are very painful emotions. Let’s face it: even under the best circumstances, criticism is difficult for most of us. It is hard to hear someone tell us what they perceive to be our weaknesses, failures, faults and misdeeds. It does not matter if it is true or not. Criticism is usually painful.

All of us have been criticized at some point in our lives. That is because we all have weakness, failures, faults and misdeeds. More than likely, each of us will continue to face reproof throughout our lives. It is for these reasons that we need to better understand the forces, positive and negative, behind rebukes we receive ourselves and those that we give to others.

Be Careful Who You Criticize

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.

You may wonder what this passage has to do with criticism but if we understand that criticism usually comes through the tongue then we realize that it also possesses death and life and that those who love it shall eat the fruit of it also. Let’s examine this more closely.

Remember the old childhood tease “Sticks and stones can break my bones, but words can never hurt me.”? Well, it was very untrue. How many times as a child did you experience pain and dejection because someone criticized your appearance, abilities or possessions? All of us faced the taunts of the other children occasionally. Some of us more than others. Whether we were used to it or not, it still was difficult.

As we grow older, we can still experience this same pain and dejection we felt as children bullied and teased by schoolmates and siblings. Many people still have scars from such abuse. This teasing and bullying is a perfect example of criticism containing “death” in it. Now criticism is usually not fatal; it can, however, kill our soul, dreams, confidence and hope. It can leave us empty and afraid.

In fact, some people who were taunted and rebuked in childhood grow up to be bitter and cruel adults who perpetuate the pain and dejection they once experienced themselves. These people are the walking wounded. Until they experience healing, they can not reach their fullest potential which God has for them. The reproof that they received actually limits their growth emotionally and spiritually. In essence, it kills the “highest level person” and leaves behind a less-developed man or woman. Only God can resurrect that man or woman’s “higher-level person” through His healing touch. That is why we always need to admit the pain and dejection we experience through rebuke and pray about it. We must allow God to remove the harmful effects of criticism so that we can reach our fullest potential in Him. We must also be very careful about expressing criticism to others unless directed to do so by God. Even if we do receive instruction from Him to rebuke another, we must assure that it is done with an attitude of love and humility and not pride and contempt. As Christians, we are to love and edify others, not to destroy them.

If we continue to examine the passage from Proverbs, we will notice that life is also in the power of the tongue and, therefore, contained within reproof. This may seem to be a contradiction from the dangerous effects of criticism but it is not actually. There are some qualifiers that ensure that life and not death will be the end result.

Successful Criticism

Criticism Must Be Done With Love and Humility

The first key to enriching criticism is that it must be done with love and humility. If we approach anyone with an attitude of anything else, it can bring only anger, pain, bitterness, resentment, embarrassment and rejection. If we correct others, however, with a spirit of love and humility, they will understand that we do so to help them and not to destroy them. This allows them to maintain their pride and dignity and still understand the weakness, failure, fault or misdeed. As Christians, we can offer no less to others, whether they are family members, subordinates, strangers or enemies. A new commandment I [Jesus] give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Criticism Must Be Fair

Another key to successful criticism is that is must be fair. You must maintain the same standards for everyone, regardless of their social or financial status. God expects us to be equitable in dealing with people.

These things also belong to the wise. It is not good to have respect of persons in judgment. He that saith unto the wicked, Thou art righteous; him shall the people curse, nations shall abhor him: but to them that rebuke him shall be delight, and a good blessing shall come upon them. Every man shall kiss his lips that giveth a right answer.

It Must Be Accepted

To help others, criticism must be accepted by its recipients. If the criticized person does not accept the reproof, he or she will not acknowledge his or her weakness, failure, fault or misdeed. This means that the person will not try to correct the problem.

It is vitally important that rebuke always be done with love, humility and fairness; otherwise, the recipient will not receive the reproof, understand the problem and work on the necessary correction.

In some cases, however, the recipient may be unwilling to accept reproof, even if it is given with the proper attitude. Basically, the problem then lies with the recipient himself and not the person giving the correction. The Bible warns of this several times, including:

Smite a scorner, and the simple will beware: and reprove one that hath understanding, and he will understand knowledge.

Poverty and shame shall be to him that refuseth instruction: but he that regardeth reproof shall be honoured.

He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding.

If you have to rightly correct someone and they do not accept it, the problem then lies with that person. Understand that some people have a difficult time admitting that they are wrong or have weaknesses and faults. Do not take it as a personal judgment upon yourself and your management approach. If the person is a spouse or close friend, pray that God will open their eyes to the problem. If your child will not accept your correction voluntarily, then bring him under your authority and discipline him. If the problem lies with an employee or subordinate, then follow the corporate rules and guidelines and go through the chain of command if one exists.

Okay, so now you understand what God expects in giving criticism but what does He expect when you have to receive it? As stated earlier, criticism is a part of life; therefore we must understand how God wants us to handle it.

Christians Will Face Criticism

Christians will definitely face criticism. It will come from many sources, including God. The Bible is full of stories of men and women who were rebuked by God for their wickedness, ignorance and lack of understanding. God sent prophets to Israel and Judah to warn of their impending judgment and destruction if they did not turn from their wicked ways. He reminded Job of His wisdom, power, faithfulness and righteousness which Job failed to remember during his adversity. Jesus Christ Himself came to the earth as a mortal man to teach the people of God’s true nature of love, holiness and grace. When we receive correction from God, we should always remember that:

And ye have forgotten the exhortation which speaketh unto you as unto children, My son, despise not thou the chastening of the Lord, nor faint when thou art rebuked of him: for whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Christians will also be criticized by non-Christians for our beliefs, actions and attitudes. In fact, it is not uncommon to hear people maligning Christians, religious groups and even God. This is expressed in I Peter 4:14: If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

If people will criticize the most holy, powerful and just God, then we should not be surprised that they will rebuke His followers. While Jesus was on the earth preaching God’s word, He suffered much criticism, especially from the religious order of that time. In the four gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, the Pharisees and Sadducees constantly rebuked Him because they were afraid they would lose their status and wealth. This did not stop Jesus from proclaiming God’s Truth; He withstood their reproofs and even criticized them for their wickedness. As His followers, we should follow His lead and not let the criticism of others stop us from doing God’s will. We should proclaim God’s Truth whether people accept it or not, even if we have to suffer persecution ourselves. We must follow God’s directive in II Timothy 4:2-5:

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Once we accept that we will be reproved for proclaiming God’s Word, then we can overcome the difficulties and pain that we may suffer, just as Jesus Christ once did. He knew that the Truth He had to proclaim was so value that it was worth losing one’s life. That is why the wicked religious leaders could not stop Him with their deceptive and wicked criticism. He also knew that this life and its pain and sorrow is only temporary but the existence we face afterwards is eternal. He remained faithful to God until the very end, despite the criticism and persecution He faced, and, by doing so, He sealed our salvation from the eternal doom we faced.

He also demonstrated how Christians who may suffer for their religious beliefs should respond. He never sunk into self-pity, hatred, doubt or disobedience. He willingly faced the criticism of the religious leaders and many others until His life ended with the horrors of the painful death at the cross at Calvary . He focused on the eternal and its rewards while suffering the temporal pain and sorrow of life. That is why Jesus taught on the sermon on the mount:

Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Seeing is NOT believing

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three facets at once: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and the New Testaments as having been inspired directly by God, that they are inerrant in their original writings, and that they are of supreme and final authority in faith and in life.

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God and is profitable for correction, reproof, and instruction in righteousness (2Timothy 3:16) and that it reveals the almighty God.

We believe that Jesus is the eternal, self-existent God and is not a created being. Even though He is fully God, He took upon Himself the form of a man to live and die for our sins.

We believe that the penalty for man’s sin was paid on the cross of Calvary in Jesus’ death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23. By believing on Jesus Christ and accepting the grace of His shed blood, we receive the gift of eternal life. “Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:9.

Because we love Jesus for His sacrificial death, we want to obey Him as he commands in John 14:15. We are not saved by our works; but, because we are saved, we choose to keep His commandments as the guide for successful living.

We believe that prophecy reveals Jesus is coming again very soon. Matthew 24:32-51.

Last Day Dangers

Consuming Fire

The Word of God says that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. 2 Timothy 3:1-5

The Bible says in 1st Peter 4:18 And also, “If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners?” People let us down again and again, because there is often a difference between what they say they believe and how they actually live. But God never lets us down, because he never changes. His promises are as good as his unchanging character: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever”. Hebrews 13:8

The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives. Psalm 37:23, 24

We pray that members of our family would understand that just going to Church won’t get you to Heaven, no matter what was taught in catechism. Pray that God would reveal the truth about His word to you.

Repentance is a change of heart

What does the word repent mean?

  • We see our sin as SINFUL.
  • We don’t justify it, we don’t make excuses for it, we hate it.
  • We stop doing it.
  • We confess it
  • We ask God to forgive us.
  • We don’t return to it.
  • We run to God, commit our lives to him, & live for him.

The World Hated Him

Jesus taught us that the world would hate His followers. Why or why not?

Here is Jesus telling His disciples that the world cannot hate them.

John 7:7
“The world cannot hate you, but it hates Me because I testify of it, that its deeds are evil.

This verse is very profound. Jesus says the world hated Him, because He testified against it, which is definitely the case, since He testified against the rulers and religous leaders of that world. But it didn’t hate the disciples as of yet,,,but they soon would.

Jesus gives His disciples a loving, releasing talk about their servanthood(students), then a commission, and then a warning along with it.

John 15:14
“You are My friends if you do what I command you.

Anyone want to be friends of Jesus?

“No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you.

Think we can have the revealings of Jesus made known to us as well? Or must we remain servants, or bondslaves? Well, we have His teachings, but they first must be made known to us, through the Holy Spirit.

“You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and {that} your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you.

How many of you all think YOU chose God, instead of the Spirit pulling you towards Him?

“This I command you, that you love one another.

Sounds simple enough, but sadly most have no clue what this command means. Is it simply enough to just say it? Is it simply enough to kinda live it? Or is it the complete transformation of the soul, a re-creation that starts with the heart, and then lights up the world? Don’t we know people like this? Don’t we long to see in the mirror dimly that face that once cursed God and man, and instead see the reflection of the Father working through our lives?

“If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before you.

IF the world hates you!! What world? The entire earth, or the governing authorities of the place we live and call home? Why did they hate Jesus so much? Why did the Jews hate Him so much? Ask these questions, and it will be revealed to you, starting with Adam, and ending in Revelations.

The world SHOULD hate you. YOUR world should hate you. Your family might hate you. You boss may hate you. Your wife may hate you. Your country may hate you. They may gnash their teeth at you, for the things you say. Be still, and take comfort.

“If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.

You are chosen. Those of you who call yourselves Christian must remember this. YOU ARE CHOSEN out of this world. You are in this world, but are not supposed to be OF it. Do you know what that means?

It means God the Father’s Son, the King, Jesus Christ is Lord of your life. It also means that His government is at direct odds against the world and their godless governing authorities. From Cain’s city, to our present day,,men have set up government against God’s perfect plan. They try to imitate it, but to no avail. It takes a few short generations to enslave a populace. Our memories of the past grow dim, and histories get rewritten to favor man, and not God. Thankfully we have the written Word. God preserved it, for unless His Chosen People wake up,,,we will wander blindly in the wilderness searching for the promised land in some far off heaven,,,when God set up the greatest creation right here, right now,,,and men have desired to rule over it since.

For one thousand years after the fall of Jerusalem, Christianity enjoyed immense success. Every man was a king and priest, under the Head Jesus, King of kings, and Lord of lords. The High Priest.

We call ourselves Christian. We also call ourselves all sorts of “other” things, after the gods we choose. Labels that divide us, thus enslaving us to those divisions.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” is a real commandment, and the primary one. A god does not mean fantasy creatures of false religions. Look it up in it’s usage of Jesus’ day. A god were those who decided judiciary matters, from the local judge, to the highest authority of the land.

We have so failed our King, thus far. We are students seeking teachers who are not filled with the Spirit of Truth. We blindly accept that, which we are not supposed to. We cry for kings to rule over us, not listening to the Samuels of our day. 1st Samuel 8:7. Again, who is OUR Leader, our King, our Governing AUTHORITY?

The Son has been given this appointment by His Father. The Apostles learned this, all the way to their deaths. The “world” TRULY hated them.

Does the world hate us, who call ourselves Christian? Or are we still wandering around, blind, making golden calves, being kept out of the promised land by that Flaming Sword of Truth, because we refuse in our comforts to accept the reality that Jesus is everything we need? His love that transforms us into the family of God, United in Spirit, with one purpose,,,,,to do the will of the Father!
I agree that we must come to Him as a child. To learn, to live, to love, to serve. Unconditionally.

I do not agree with the whole devil argument. Men have been trying to rule other men out of their evil desires of coveting, theft, murder, dishonoring their parents, etc. Since Cain until now, violent men TAKE it(the Kingdom) by force.
They play the benefactor cards, giving gifts to the downtrodden that have been sacrificed to idols, namely THEM, by taking it from the rich and middleclass. Once the gifts are accepted, they are enslaved. Read Joseph’s story in Egypt. It gives a blueprint how to enslave a populace.

Jesus came to set men free, and teach us how it was TRULY meant to be. For this, He was made an enemy of the state,,,both of Rome, and Israel. Men today who desire to be absolutely free, and give their hearts, minds, bodies and souls over to King Jesus,,are called fundamentalist wackjobs. They are also enemies of the state, even today. They are hated, for His Name’s Sake.

Those who call themselves Christian, but are not, but rather are from the church of Satan, have their souls divided. They serve multiple gods. They are caught in a crossfire so to speak, between those who truly walk in the ways of the Lord, and those who seek to put out the Light permanently. They play along with the spirit of the Hegelian Dialectic, and pick sides from which to battle and sadly, Satan controls both.

With Christ Jesus as our King, there is no side to pick. There just IS. The Light is never hidden, and it lights up the world. We are not a part of this world, so this world hates us. If it doesn’t, then maybe we are not living as we should be. It doesn’t matter the country(world), state(world), city(world), or community(world). Unless you are yoked with other believers, then those who are outside the Kingdom will seek to destroy you. Inlcuding those who call themselves Christian.

If you are yoked with other believers, welcome to the Church. The TRUE Church. When believers come together great things happen. When Jesus is made King over the lives of those who love Him, there is nothing on this ungodly world that can help you in your time of need, outside of His Body. In fact, Jesus Himself said do not worry about it (tomorrow’s needs).

My Personal Thoughts

The Bible Prophets were all hated, but the false prophets were well liked by most as they spoke smooth words people liked. Be careful in what manner you judge, Steve Wohlberg’s message lines up perfectly with the Bible.
The Bible explains what a “beast” is in Daniel 7:23, the symbols meanings does the Bible interpret by itself.

According to the Bible the “…number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.” Nowhere does it say the mark has a number.
The name (blasphemous name) “ViCARIVS FILII DEI” (Vicar of the Son of God) adds up in? Roman numerals the number 666. By carefully studying the Bible, Daniel and Revelation the foremost lets us know what the beast is, clearly seen revealed through history.

The SDA Church actually came out of the Millerite movement and has many present truths presented from the Bible, like of Christ’s ministry in the heavenly sanctuary found in Hebrews and Revelation. The message regarding the Roman Catholic Church is? also out of the Bible and part of the very last days three angels message of Rev. 14:6-12, Babylon the mother church which is described by unmistakable identifications in Revelation 17. God wants to call His people out of this system as in Rev. 18:4

I believe a Sunday law is coming, which the enforcement of will be the mark of the beast’s power, and you will receive it as long as you keep rejecting God’s blazing truth about the Holy Sabbath for these last days. Adventists may very well become just as Noah and his family was, 8 survivors. Most people will be among those who scoffed and laughed along with the populous.

Careful study and putting all the pieces together of end-time events, the Antichrist is none other than the Papal Hierarchy. I always pray for THE TRUTH based on the Bible. This is where God is leading me.

This page is a work in progress, and will be updated as time allows…..
