About Jesus

My sheep hear My VoiceThe Bible has many prophecies in the Old Testament that had their fulfillment in the person of Jesus of Nazareth hundreds of years later. The statistical impossibility of all those prophecies being fulfilled in one person made me very interested in learning all I could about God and everything that He wanted us to know through the Bible.

So if “prophecy” was real, then a creator God who knows the end from the beginning was possible. Who else could make such predictions except an all knowing God?

Not Ready to Give Your Life to Jesus Christ? You don’t have to wait until you stop doing this or stop doing that.

Jesus accepts you just the way you are. You can come to Him now, just as you are. He loves right now. That is why He died for you. Is there any good reason why you cannot turn your life over to Jesus Christ right now?

I prayed that God would lead me to wisdom and the truth in His Word. I also prayed that Jesus would take over and guide me in the path that He wanted me to take in life.

Here’s how to come into a relationship with Jesus Christ.

  • 1. Know that God loves you and desires a relationship with you.

“God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” John 3:16

  • 2. Recognize that your sin has separated you from God.

“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

“The wages of sin is death” [spiritual separation from God]. Romans 6:23

  • 3. Jesus Christ is God’s only solution for our sin. Through Jesus we experience God’s love and forgiveness.

Jesus Died For Us.
“God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

Jesus Rose From the Dead
“Christ died for our sins…He was buried…He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures…He appeared to Peter, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred…” 1 Corinthians 15

Jesus Is the Only Way to God
“Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.’” John 14:6

  • 4. We must receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord and if we do this – God cleanses us Romans 10:9,10

We Must Receive Christ
Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God – John 1:12

We Receive Christ Through Faith
“By grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast.” Ephesians 2:8

We Receive Christ by Personal Invitation
Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if any one hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him.” Revelation 3:20

Receiving Christ involves repenting (turning from your sin) and turning to God and trusting Jesus Christ to forgive you of your sins. It’s not enough to just agree mentally that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins. You receive Jesus Christ by faith, as an act of the will. – Luke 5:32 and Romans 10: 9, 10

You can receive Christ right now by faith through prayer.

Prayer is simply talking to with God. God doesn’t make a big deal about the words you choose as much as He does about the attitude of your heart. Here’s a simple prayer but feel free to use your own words as you express your desire for Christ to come into your life.

If you are ready to accept Jesus now, here is a suggested prayer you can use.

This is not a ritual based on specific words, but rather, a prayerful guideline for your sincere step of faith.

It is important that you agree with these words, are consciously aware that you are seeking Jesus Christ, trying and intending to speak directly to Him. The prayer means nothing to Him unless you mean them.

Dear Jesus, Your word says that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13). Jesus, I am calling on You right now. I admit that I am a sinner, deserving of Hell. I believe You are the Son of God who came in the flesh and died upon the cross, sacrificing Your blood to pay for my sins? I am sorry for the way I have lived, please forgive me all my sins. Help me to turn my life around. I invite you to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. Thank you. Amen.

If you prayed this prayer and sincerely meant it then Christ will come into your life as He promised.  He will change you from the inside out.

When TRUE CONVERSION takes place in the heart, it is made manifest in a transformation of character, for those WHO ARE CONVERTED become Christlike. Pride no longer lives in the heart, sin seems abominable. THE CONVERTED soul hates the thing that depraves his moral sensibilities. He hates that which crucified the Lord of life and glory. Those who are TRULY CONVERTED grow in the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and as knowledge of Christ increases, they see more clearly where their own weakness lies; they realize the deep depravity of their natures. They understand the strength of sin, and know the power of their old habits…. They have daily a sense of their entire inability to do anything without the help of Jesus Christ, therefore they say to Him, “I cast my helpless soul upon Thee. ‘In my hand no price I bring, Simply to Thy cross I cling.Bible
